Aake Lehtola vs Ari Kurkela

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/12/2030 from Helsinki, Finland:

The Helsinki venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aake Lehtola (18 - 22) who hails from Espoo, Finland and Ari Kurkela(10 - 21(7)) from Helsinki, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Kurkela gets on the inside.  Kurkela pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Lehtola lands a jab.  
Kurkela steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Kurkela sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Lehtola's ribcage.

Lehtola tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lehtola feints a jab and triggers a left hook counter from Kurkela.  Lehtola avoids the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

Kurkela is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  Kurkela tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kurkela's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
