Dave Sanders vs William Lennie

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/01/2031 from Perth, Australia:

The Perth venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Sanders (95(1) - 5) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and William Lennie(5 - 15) from Perth, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Sanders hits home with a left hook.  
Sanders forces Lennie to retreat onto the ropes.  Sanders lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lennie throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Sanders attempts to land a left hook, but Lennie dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sanders pivots to the left of his opponent.  Lennie throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sanders lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sanders lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Sanders lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sanders gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Sanders walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Sanders is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sanders feints a jab, but Lennie is not fooled and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Lennie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lennie drives a cross into his opponents body.  Lennie throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Sanders lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sanders walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sanders lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Sanders manouvers Lennie onto the ropes.  Sanders strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Sanders throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lennie lands a jab to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sanders closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Sanders clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sanders pushes his forearm into Lennie's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sanders.  
Lennie tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.  
Lennie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sanders's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Sanders hits home with a right hook.  
Lennie feints a cross, and then throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Lennie is on target with a right hook.  Sanders holds on to his opponent.  Lennie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lennie to stop fouling.  
Sanders drives a solid left uppercut into Lennie's body.  
Sanders is on target with a left hook.  
Sanders lands a jab.  
Sanders throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Sanders ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Sanders's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lennie lands a left uppercut.  
Lennie attempts to land a right hook, but Sanders slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lennie is on target with a left uppercut.  
Sanders is on target with a right hook.  
Sanders manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sanders lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sanders lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
