Cris Lozon vs Paco Alcalde

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2031,  taking place on 11/03/2031 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cris Lozon (6 - 13) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Paco Alcalde(22 - 16) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Lozon advances into close range and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Alcalde lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Alcalde sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into Lozon's body.  
Alcalde connects with a stinging left hook.  
Lozon throws a right hook, but Alcalde clinches his opponent.  Lozon pushes his forearm into Alcalde's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lozon about fouling.  
Alcalde lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Lozon is on target with a stinging right hook to Alcalde's body.  
Lozon tries to land a right hook, but Alcalde parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Lozon switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Alcalde sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Alcalde gets on the inside.  Alcalde quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Lozon lands a firm left hook.  
Lozon drives a right uppercut into Alcalde's body.  
Lozon throws a right hook, but Alcalde holds on to his opponent.  Lozon hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lozon.  
Alcalde lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Alcalde ties up his opponent.  Lozon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lozon tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Alcalde is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lozon throws a right hook, but Alcalde clinches his opponent.  Lozon throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. As they grapple, Alcalde pushes his forearm into Lozon's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Alcalde steps inside.  Alcalde sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Lozon steps to the outside and connects with an overhand right.

Lozon is looking to keep his distance and lands a firm cross.  
Lozon finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Lozon advances into close range.  Alcalde lands a left uppercut.  
Alcalde is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Alcalde lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Alcalde holds on to his opponent.  Lozon uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Alcalde behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lozon.  
Alcalde thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Lozon away.  Alcalde drives a weighty right uppercut into Lozon's body.  LOZON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Lozon has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Alcalde lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Alcalde ties up his opponent.  Lozon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alcalde quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.  
Alcalde manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Alcalde sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Alcalde digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alcalde lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Lozon switches the action to the outside and connects with a solid cross.
