Antonio Loza vs Roman Cerda

Boxing Daily Report from the El Salvador National Finals 2031,  taking place on 11/03/2031 from Mejicanos, El Salvador:

The Mejicanos venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Antonio Loza (20 - 23(4)) who hails from San Salvador, El Salvador and Roman Cerda(3 - 0) from San Salvador, El Salvador.  

Round 1: 

Cerda hits home with a sharp overhand left.

Cerda is looking to close the distance.  Loza pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Loza tries to keep the action at long range and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Loza lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Cerda connects with an overhand right.  Cerda throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cerda lands a cross.  
Loza steps to the outside.  Loza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Loza feints a jab, and then hits home with a left hook.  
Cerda hits home with a cross.

Cerda advances into close range.  Loza attempts to land a left hook, but Cerda blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Cerda steps inside.  Loza hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Cerda advances into close range.  Loza hits home with a left uppercut.  
Cerda steps inside.  Loza pivots to the side of his opponent.  Loza throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Loza clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Loza pushes his forearm into Cerda's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Loza to stop fouling.
