Confucius Shi vs Lao-Tzu Ai

Boxing Daily Report from the China National Finals 2031,  taking place on 14/03/2031 from Dalian, China:

The Dalian venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Confucius Shi (23 - 22) who hails from Chongqing, China and Lao-Tzu Ai(7 - 21) from Anyang, China.  

Round 1: 

Shi lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ai gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ai pivots from in front of his opponent, but Shi hits home with a right hook.  
Ai pivots from in front of his opponent, but Shi lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Shi feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ai closes the distance and forces Shi to back into the ropes.  Shi hits home with a right uppercut.  
Shi steps to the outside and lands a spiteful jab.

Shi lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Shi switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Shi's liver.  
Ai cuts off the ring, trapping Shi in a corner.  Ai lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Shi lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Shi steps to the outside.  Shi feints a left hook, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shi's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Ai is looking to close the distance.  Shi drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Ai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Shi digs in a left hook to Ai's ribs.  
Ai walks Shi down, trapping him on the ropes.  Shi drives a right hook into Ai's ribs.  
Ai connects with a right hook.  
Shi tries to step out of his opponents range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Shi finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Shi is looking to keep his distance.  Shi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Ai closes the distance and connects with a left uppercut.  
Ai forces Shi to back into a corner.  Ai lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
