Mark Moncrief vs Duncan Nessmith

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2031,  taking place on 26/03/2031 from Kingston, Jamaica:

The Kingston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Moncrief (22 - 24) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Duncan Nessmith(9 - 6) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Moncrief switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to his opponents body.

Moncrief steps to the outside.  Moncrief sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Nessmith attempts to land a cross, but Moncrief sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Moncrief lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Moncrief is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Nessmith lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Moncrief is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a sharp cross.  
Nessmith gets on the inside.  Nessmith pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nessmith goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Moncrief's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
