Alastair Njonjo vs Quaddus Tikolo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2031,  taking place on 29/03/2031 from Kisumu, Kenya:

The Kisumu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alastair Njonjo (3 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Quaddus Tikolo(7 - 11) from Nairobi, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Njonjo gets on the inside.  Njonjo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tikolo steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but Njonjo sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Tikolo walks Njonjo onto the ropes.  Tikolo is on target with a sharp cross to Njonjo's body.  
Tikolo hits home with a cross.  
Njonjo tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Tikolo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
Njonjo steps away from his opponent.  Njonjo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Tikolo throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Njonjo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Tikolo throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tikolo lands a jab.  
Njonjo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Njonjo's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
