Nemesio Resendiz vs Oro Almaraz

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2031,  taking place on 11/04/2031 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Nemesio Resendiz (5 - 21) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Oro Almaraz(4 - 1) from Managua, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Resendiz advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  Almaraz ties up his opponent.  Almaraz pushes his forearm into Resendiz's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Almaraz.  
Resendiz is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.

Resendiz tries to step out of his opponents range.  Almaraz finds the target with a jab.  
Resendiz closes the distance.  Almaraz digs in a stinging left hook to Resendiz's ribs.  
Resendiz sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Resendiz throws a right hook, but Almaraz holds on to his opponent.  Almaraz tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Resendiz's kidney.
