Vince Luchenje vs Chike Koni

Boxing Daily Report from the Zambia National Finals 2031,  taking place on 26/04/2031 from Lusaka, Zambia:

The Lusaka venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vince Luchenje (8 - 5) who hails from Ndola, Zambia and Chike Koni(2 - 0) from Lusaka, Zambia.

Koni manages to force Luchenje onto the ropes.  Koni pivots to the side of his opponent and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Luchenje's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Luchenje steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Luchenje steps to the outside.  Luchenje sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Koni is looking to close the distance.  Luchenje digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Luchenje quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Koni tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Luchenje steps to the outside.  Luchenje sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Koni is on target with a firm cross.

Koni advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Luchenje slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
