Vegas Gutang vs Brendan Severo

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/06/2031 from Bacoor, Philippines:

The Bacoor venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vegas Gutang (10 - 0) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Brendan Severo(9 - 16) from Bacoor, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Severo sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Gutang lands a left hook followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Gutang closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Severo sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Gutang finds the target with a jab.  
Severo manages to force Gutang onto the ropes.  Severo feints a cross, and then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Severo pivots to the right of his opponent, but Gutang snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Gutang attempts to land a jab, but Severo blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Gutang is on target with a jab.  
Severo lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Severo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gutang lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Severo tries to land a right hook, but Gutang slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Gutang tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gutang waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Severo attempts to land a jab, but Gutang blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Severo forces Gutang to back into the ropes.  Gutang lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Severo pivots to the left of his opponent and throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Gutang to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Severo and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Severo strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Gutang attempts to land a jab, but Severo slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Severo manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Severo throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Gutang sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gutang is on target with a jab.  Gutang throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Severo manouvers Gutang into a corner.  Severo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Severo lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.

Severo throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Severo's ribs.
