Jordan Melvin vs Peter Hetrick

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/01/2032 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jordan Melvin (6 - 14) who hails from New Amsterdam, Guyana and Peter Hetrick(13 - 20(1)) from Linden, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Hetrick closes the distance.  Hetrick pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Melvin attempts to land a left hook, but Hetrick sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Hetrick lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hetrick sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Hetrick walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hetrick pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.

Hetrick is looking to close the distance.  Hetrick pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Hetrick manages to force Melvin into a corner.  Hetrick lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Melvin lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Melvin is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land an overhand left, but Hetrick slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.

Melvin throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hetrick is on target with a left hook.  
Hetrick is looking to close the distance.  Hetrick pivots to the right of his opponent, but Melvin lands a left hook.  
Hetrick hits home with a firm left hook.  
Hetrick attempts to land a jab, but Melvin sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Hetrick steps inside and is on target with a solid left hook to Melvin's body.  
Hetrick lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hetrick drives a stinging right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Melvin throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Hetrick's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
