Paul Rodgers vs Robert Gills

Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2032,  taking place on 11/03/2032 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Rodgers (20 - 10) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Robert Gills(10 - 20) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Rodgers attempts to land a jab, but Gills slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Rodgers pivots to the side of his opponent, but Gills connects with a cross.  
Gills advances into close range.  Gills sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Rodgers's body.  
Gills tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Gills digs in a right uppercut to Rodgers's ribcage.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rodgers's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Gills's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Gills cuts off the ring, trapping Rodgers on the ropes.  Rodgers throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Rodgers ties up his opponent.  Gills leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Rodgers pushes his forearm into Gills's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Rodgers.

Rodgers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Rodgers is on target with a jab.  
Rodgers steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Rodgers finds the target with a jab.  
Gills advances into close range and lands a solid left hook.  Rodgers clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Gills pushes his forearm into Rodgers's face.  The ref breaks Rodgers's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rodgers steps to the outside.  Gills connects with a solid cross.  
Gills steps inside and manouvers Rodgers onto the ropes.  Rodgers is on target with a left hook to Gills's liver.  
Rodgers hits home with a left hook.  
Rodgers finds the target with a jab.  
Gills gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but Rodgers clinches his opponent.  Gills is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Gills and breaks the clinch.
