Kai Esson vs Matthew Hemphill

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2032,  taking place on 29/03/2032 from Kingston, Jamaica:

The Kingston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kai Esson (1 - 1) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and Matthew Hemphill(26 - 15(1)) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Esson lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Hemphill forces Esson to retreat into a corner.  Hemphill digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Hemphill ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hemphill pushes his forearm into Esson's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hemphill.  
Hemphill hits home with a left hook.  Hemphill attempts to land a right hook, but Esson blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hemphill pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Hemphill tries to land a jab, but Esson sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hemphill closes the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.
