Diego Vasconcelos vs Manuel Pavon

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2032,  taking place on 14/04/2032 from Carolina, Puerto Rico:

The Carolina venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Vasconcelos (23 - 9) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Manuel Pavon(20(3) - 3) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Pavon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Vasconcelos advances into close range.  Vasconcelos sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pavon feints a jab, fooling Vasconcelos into launching a right uppercut counter.  Pavon springs the trap and counters with  a firm right uppercut.  
Vasconcelos closes the distance.  Vasconcelos sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Pavon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pavon steps to the outside.  Pavon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Vasconcelos advances into close range.  Pavon lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Pavon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pavon attempts to land a jab, but Vasconcelos slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Vasconcelos manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Vasconcelos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Pavon lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Vasconcelos steps inside and digs in a sharp left hook to Pavon's body.  
Pavon lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Pavon connects with a left hook.  Pavon tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Pavon attempts to land a cross, but Vasconcelos slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Vasconcelos throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to Vasconcelos's body.  
Vasconcelos steps inside.  Vasconcelos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Vasconcelos's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!  Pavon's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Pavon throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Pavon holds on to his opponent.  Vasconcelos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Vasconcelos throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Pavon tries to keep the action at long range.  Pavon feints a jab and triggers a cross counter from Vasconcelos.  Pavon is waiting for the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Vasconcelos's body.  
Vasconcelos advances into close range and walks Pavon down, trapping him on the ropes.  Vasconcelos sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Vasconcelos throws a right uppercut, but Pavon clinches his opponent.  Vasconcelos leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pavon switches the action to the outside.  Vasconcelos tries to land a cross, but Pavon sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Vasconcelos closes the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Pavon sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Pavon attempts to land a cross, but Vasconcelos slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pavon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Vasconcelos gets on the inside.  Vasconcelos pivots to the side of his opponent, but Pavon connects with a firm right hook.

Vasconcelos is on target with a solid left hook.  Pavon clinches his opponent.  Vasconcelos is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vasconcelos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Vasconcelos throws a left hook, but Pavon holds on to his opponent.  Vasconcelos uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pavon behind the head. As they grapple, Pavon pushes his forearm into Vasconcelos's face.  The referee warns Pavon and breaks the clinch.  
Vasconcelos is looking to close the distance and walks Pavon down, trapping him on the ropes.  Vasconcelos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Vasconcelos closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Pavon clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Vasconcelos pushes his forearm into Pavon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vasconcelos to stop fouling.
