Gethin Madhuku vs Okapi Tholet

Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2032,  taking place on 26/04/2032 from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

The Bulawayo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gethin Madhuku (13 - 7) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Okapi Tholet(4 - 3) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Tholet manouvers Madhuku onto the ropes.  Tholet lands a cross.  Tholet tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Tholet steps inside.  Madhuku digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tholet lands a left hook, jab and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Madhuku voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tholet is whaling away with hooks, but Madhuku keeps his defence tight.  Tholet drives a solid left hook into Madhuku's body.  
Madhuku lands a jab.  
Tholet sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Madhuku lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Tholet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Madhuku lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Tholet pivots from in front of his opponent.  Madhuku throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Madhuku attempts to land a cross, but Tholet slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tholet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tholet tries to land a left hook, but Madhuku sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Madhuku steps away from his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Madhuku lands with a stinging jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Madhuku's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
