The Espoo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Matti Saarenpaa (12 - 15) who hails from Vantaa, Finland and Joona Tuomi(15(1) - 15) from Espoo, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Saarenpaa is on target with a solid cross.  
Tuomi steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Saarenpaa manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Tuomi attempts to land a jab, but Saarenpaa slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Saarenpaa tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tuomi hits home with a cross.  
Saarenpaa closes the distance.  Tuomi digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Saarenpaa tries to keep the action at long range.  Tuomi is on target with a jab.

Tuomi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Saarenpaa throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Tuomi ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Saarenpaa pushes his forearm into Tuomi's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tuomi throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Tuomi clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Tuomi pushes his forearm into Saarenpaa's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tuomi.  
Saarenpaa hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Tuomi is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Tuomi holds on to his opponent.  Tuomi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Tuomi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Tuomi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Tuomi throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Tuomi clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Tuomi digs in a stinging right uppercut to Saarenpaa's body.
