Boxing Daily Report from the Nigeria National Finals 2033,  taking place on 11/04/2033 from Ogbomosho, Nigeria:

The Ogbomosho venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aftab Amara (13 - 0) who hails from Nsukka, Nigeria and Bright Apiafi(11(1) - 21) from Onitsha, Nigeria.  

Round 1: 

Amara is looking to close the distance.  Apiafi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Amara tries to land a cross, but Apiafi slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Amara gets on the inside.  Amara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Apiafi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Apiafi pivots to the left of his opponent, but Amara lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Amara is looking to keep his distance and hits home with an overhand right.  
Amara steps inside.  Apiafi lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Amara walks Apiafi down, trapping him on the ropes.  Amara tries to land a left hook, but Apiafi slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Apiafi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Amara lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Apiafi lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Amara steps inside.  Apiafi is on target with a right hook.  Apiafi throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Apiafi pivots to the side of his opponent.  Amara throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Apiafi lands a jab.  
Amara sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Apiafi almost instantly recovers. 
Apiafi contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Amara is on target with a cross.  
Amara steps to the outside.  Apiafi is on target with a solid jab.  Apiafi throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook to Apiafi's body.  
Amara digs in a sharp left hook to Apiafi's body.  
Apiafi connects with a sharp cross.  
Amara lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.

Amara walks Apiafi down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Amara lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Amara steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Amara advances into close range.  Apiafi lands a right hook.  Amara ties up his opponent.  Apiafi pushes his forearm into Amara's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Apiafi about fouling.  
Apiafi is on target with a sharp right hook to Amara's body.  
Amara lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Amara is on target with a left uppercut to Apiafi's body.  
Amara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Amara is on target with a potent right uppercut to his opponents body.  APIAFI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Amara ties up his opponent.  Apiafi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Amara's kidney. Amara pushes his forearm into Apiafi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Amara.  
Amara lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Amara holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Amara lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Amara sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Apiafi digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Amara feints a left hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Amara connects with a sharp right hook.  
Amara sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Amara throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Amara ties up his opponent.  Amara uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Apiafi behind the head. The ref breaks Amara's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Amara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Amara hits home with a stinging right hook.  Amara throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Amara sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Amara is on target with a potent left hook to Apiafi's ribs.  APIAFI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Amara senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Apiafi and just needs the right shot.  Amara lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS APIAFI!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Amara!
