Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2033,  taking place on 14/04/2033 from Wellington, New Zealand:

The Wellington venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joey Quire (15 - 18) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Leo Tagert(7 - 20) from Wellington, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Tagert advances into close range.  Tagert pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Quire tries to step out of his opponents range and hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Quire is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Quire hits home with an overhand left.  Quire throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tagert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Quire connects with a right uppercut.  
Quire pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Tagert lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Tagert steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Quire steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Tagert sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Quire's body.  
Tagert advances into close range.  Quire connects with a solid left hook.  
Tagert digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Tagert lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Tagert gets on the inside and connects with a stinging left hook.  Quire ties up his opponent.  Quire tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Tagert behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Quire about fouling.

Quire tries to land an overhand left, but Tagert slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
