Emmanuel Meiffret vs Alec Bruce

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/12/2033 from Vaughan, Canada:

The Vaughan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Emmanuel Meiffret (1 - 1) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Alec Bruce(0 - 3) from Vaughan, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Meiffret lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Meiffret steps to the outside.  Meiffret sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Bruce hits home with an overhand right.  
Meiffret lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Bruce sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bruce tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bruce forces Meiffret to retreat onto the ropes.  Meiffret lands a sharp cross to Bruce's body.  
Bruce advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Meiffret switches the action to the outside.  Meiffret feints a cross, and then hits home with an overhand right.  
Bruce sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Meiffret digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Meiffret steps away from his opponent.  Bruce goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Meiffret's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Meiffret hits home with a cross.  
Bruce steps inside.  Bruce pivots to the left of his opponent.  Meiffret throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Bruce lands a jab.  
Bruce closes the distance.  Bruce pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Meiffret's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Meiffret throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Meiffret pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.  
Bruce is on target with a jab.  
Meiffret lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bruce steps inside and throws a right hook, but Meiffret ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Meiffret finds the target with a jab.  
Meiffret hits home with a firm cross.  
Meiffret waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Bruce hits home with a cross.  
Meiffret is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bruce lands a stinging right hook.  
Meiffret finds the target with a jab.  
Meiffret pivots to the side of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.

Meiffret is on target with a weighty left hook to his opponents body.  BRUCE IS HURT!  Bruce quickly recovers. 
Meiffret lands a solid jab.  
Bruce sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Meiffret lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Bruce is looking to close the distance.  Bruce pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bruce drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Meiffret holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Meiffret pushes his forearm into Bruce's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Meiffret about fouling.  
Meiffret slams a nasty right hook into Bruce's body.  BRUCE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Meiffret quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bruce attempts to land a right hook, but Meiffret blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.
