Lee Mattox vs Steven Adam

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/01/2034 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lee Mattox (8 - 12) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Steven Adam(0 - 2) from North Shore, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Adam lands a jab.  
Adam lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mattox closes the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Adam sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mattox connects with a right uppercut.  Mattox clinches his opponent.  Mattox is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mattox to stop fouling.  
Adam connects with a solid right hook.  
Adam is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mattox drives a stinging left uppercut into Adam's body.  
Mattox hits home with a solid right hook.  
Mattox is on target with a jab.  
Mattox closes the distance and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Adam hits home with a cross.  
Mattox closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Mattox clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Adam pushes his forearm into Mattox's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Adam pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Mattox lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Adam closes the distance.  Mattox throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Mattox clinches his opponent.  Mattox is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Mattox and breaks the clinch.  
Mattox lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Mattox lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Adam manouvers Mattox into the blue corner.  Adam lands a left uppercut.  
Mattox connects with a cross.  
Adam closes the distance.  Mattox lands a left hook.  Mattox throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Adam time to recover.  
Mattox lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Adam's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Mattox manages to force Adam into the corner.  Mattox lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Adam quickly recovers. 
Adam lands a solid right hook.  
Adam connects with a right uppercut.  Adam attempts to land a jab, but Mattox slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mattox lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mattox lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Adam advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but Mattox clinches his opponent.  Adam pushes his forearm into Mattox's face.  The ref breaks Mattox's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mattox digs in a left uppercut to Adam's body.  
Adam throws a left hook, but Mattox ties up his opponent.  Mattox leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mattox hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Adam lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mattox closes the distance.  Adam throws a right hook, but Mattox ties up his opponent.  Adam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Adam and breaks the clinch.  
Mattox pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Adam's ribs.
