Carlos Guerrero vs Edward MacLaine

Boxing Daily Report from the Americas Boxing Championships 2034,  taking place on 09/01/2034 from Maracay, Venezuela:

The Maracay venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Round of 16 fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Guerrero (31 - 29) who hails from Valparaiso, Chile and Edward MacLaine(49(16) - 7) from Tulsa, USA.  

Round 1: 

Guerrero feints a left, and then finds the target with a stiff jab.  
MacLaine drives a firm right uppercut into Guerrero's body.  
MacLaine steps inside.  Guerrero lands a right uppercut.  
MacLaine digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
MacLaine walks his opponent onto the ropes.  MacLaine quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Guerrero attempts to land a right hook, but MacLaine blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Guerrero's ribcage.  
MacLaine is on target with a solid right hook.  
MacLaine lands a left hook.  
Guerrero throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Guerrero lands a left hook.  
MacLaine lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Guerrero almost instantly recovers. 
Guerrero tries to land a right hook, but MacLaine slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
MacLaine hits home with a right hook.  
Guerrero tries to land a jab, but MacLaine parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
MacLaine is looking to close the distance.  Guerrero is on target with a left uppercut.  
MacLaine cuts off the ring, trapping Guerrero in a neutral corner.  MacLaine lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
MacLaine lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
MacLaine steps inside.  Guerrero tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Guerrero's body.  
MacLaine digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
MacLaine lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
MacLaine digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
Guerrero steps to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  Guerrero tries to land a jab, but MacLaine sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Guerrero is on target with a stinging cross.  
MacLaine steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
MacLaine lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
MacLaine steps inside and forces Guerrero to retreat into the corner.  Guerrero lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
MacLaine lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  MacLaine throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Guerrero switches the action to the outside.  MacLaine lands a cross to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
MacLaine advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  MacLaine holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, MacLaine pushes his forearm into Guerrero's face.  The ref breaks MacLaine's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
MacLaine walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Some sustained pressure from MacLaine could be enough to finish Guerrero!  MacLaine lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS GUERRERO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.

MacLaine advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  MacLaine ties up his opponent.  MacLaine pushes his forearm into Guerrero's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures MacLaine about fouling.  
Guerrero tries to keep the action at long range.  MacLaine finds the target with a jab.  
MacLaine closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Guerrero switches the action to the outside.  MacLaine lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Guerrero steps away from his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
MacLaine gets on the inside.  Guerrero is on target with a left uppercut.  
Guerrero tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a ramrod jab.  Guerrero tries to land a cross, but MacLaine slips the shot and counters with a spiteful right uppercut.  GUERRERO IS DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT GUERRERO IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is MacLaine!
