Goro Gima vs Daiki Kure

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2034,  taking place on 26/03/2034 from Kawasaki, Japan:

The Kawasaki venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Goro Gima (7 - 11) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Daiki Kure(15 - 8) from Sendai, Japan.  

Round 1:

Kure stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Kure crashes a hurtful left uppercut to Gima's body.  GIMA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Gima now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kure leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Gima accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Kure.

Gima throws a right uppercut, but Kure clinches his opponent.  Kure leans on his opponent using all his weight. Kure is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kure gets on the inside.  Gima sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Kure lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gima almost instantly recovers.

Kure advances into close range and drives a firm left hook into Gima's body.  Kure clinches his opponent.  Gima tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kure's kidney. The ref breaks Kure's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Kure closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gima sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kure is on target with a left hook to Gima's body.  Kure clinches his opponent.  Gima is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Gima throws a left hook, but Kure clinches his opponent.  Kure is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kure to stop fouling.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Kure's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
