Cody Gilmer vs Henry Briar

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/04/2034 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cody Gilmer (23(1) - 15) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Henry Briar(8 - 8) from Memphis, USA.  

Round 1: 

Gilmer pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook.

Gilmer tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a cross, but Briar slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Briar pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Briar throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Briar sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Gilmer drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Gilmer hits home with a sharp cross.  
Gilmer steps away from his opponent.  Briar attempts to land a jab, but Gilmer slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Briar sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Briar lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Briar attempts to land a jab, but Gilmer blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gilmer's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
