Max Simpson vs Paul McClave

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 13/09/2034 from Auckland, New Zealand:

The Auckland venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Max Simpson (23(5) - 5) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Paul McClave(8 - 13) from Memphis, USA.  

Round 1: 

Simpson steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Simpson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Simpson gets on the inside.  McClave drives a left hook into Simpson's body.  
Simpson lands a sharp left hook.  
Simpson steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Simpson is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.

McClave tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

McClave sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Simpson lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Simpson gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Simpson steps inside and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  McClave pushes his forearm into Simpson's face.  The referee warns McClave and breaks the clinch.  
Simpson closes the distance.  McClave is on target with a right hook.  
McClave lands a hard jab.  
Simpson gets on the inside.  McClave connects with a right hook.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  McClave tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Simpson behind the head. The referee warns McClave and breaks the clinch.  
McClave quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Simpson lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body, KNOCKING MCCLAVE DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Simpson hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Simpson drives a right hook into McClave's ribs.  
Simpson is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Simpson is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but McClave slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Simpson lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McClave steps to the outside.  McClave feints a right hook, and then hits home with a solid cross.  
Simpson cuts off the ring, trapping McClave in the corner.  Simpson lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Simpson digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Simpson throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Simpson is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Simpson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents body.  
McClave throws a left hook, but Simpson holds on to his opponent.  Simpson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Simpson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  Simpson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Simpson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McClave quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Simpson is on target with a jab.  
Simpson closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McClave quickly recovers. 
McClave is on target with a left hook.  
Simpson lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Simpson lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
The right shot from Simpson could be enough to force the stoppage!  Simpson digs in a weighty left uppercut to his opponents body.  MCCLAVE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  It looks like McClave has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Simpson closes the distance and lands a firm right uppercut.  Simpson clinches his opponent.  Simpson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Simpson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Simpson finds the target with a jab.  
McClave feints a left, and then lands a hard jab.  
Simpson closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Simpson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
McClave steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Simpson dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Simpson steps inside and walks McClave down, trapping him on the ropes.  Simpson is on target with a stinging left hook to McClave's body.  Simpson ties up his opponent.  McClave uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Simpson behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McClave steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Simpson closes the distance.  Simpson pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Simpson drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Simpson manages to force McClave onto the ropes.  Simpson digs in a stinging left hook to McClave's body.  
Simpson advances into close range and connects with a VICIOUS left hook.  MCCLAVE IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Simpson!
