Matt Maines vs Chris Hulme

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/11/2034 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Matt Maines (11(1) - 2) who hails from North Las Vegas, USA and Chris Hulme(2 - 1) from Davenport, USA.  

Round 1: 

Hulme quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Maines closes the distance.  Maines pivots to the side of his opponent.  Maines connects with a solid left hook.  Maines clinches his opponent.  Maines pushes his forearm into Hulme's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Maines to stop fouling.  
Maines connects with a cross.  
Maines is on target with a solid left hook.  
Hulme is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  Maines holds on to his opponent.  Maines uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hulme behind the head. 
Maines forces Hulme to retreat onto the ropes.  Maines lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Maines lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Maines gets on the inside and connects with a solid left hook.  Maines clinches his opponent.  Maines leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Maines steps inside.  Maines sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Hulme connects with a left hook.  Hulme throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Maines to the neutral corner.  He lectures Hulme but does not take away a point.  
Maines lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Maines lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Hulme almost instantly recovers. 
Hulme is looking to close the distance.  Hulme pivots to the side of his opponent, but Maines lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Maines is on target with a solid left hook to Hulme's body.  
Maines walks his opponent into a corner.  Maines is on target with a right hook to Hulme's body.  
Maines lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Hulme gets on the inside.  Maines slams a spiteful left hook into Hulme's body.  HULME IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.

Maines whips in a hurtful left hook to Hulme's liver.  HULME WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Hulme is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  Hulme now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Hulme lands a jab.  
Hulme steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hulme lands a solid left hook.  Hulme throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Maines advances into close range.  Hulme throws a right hook, but Maines holds on to his opponent.  Hulme leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maines lands a solid cross.  
Maines throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Maines ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hulme pushes his forearm into Maines's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hulme about fouling.  
Maines is on target with a jab.  
Maines lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Maines ties up his opponent.  Hulme pushes his forearm into Maines's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hulme.  
Maines pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hulme throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Hulme closes the distance.  Maines is on target with a right hook to Hulme's ribcage.  
Hulme lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hulme gets on the inside.  Maines lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Maines is on target with a cross.  
Maines lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Maines walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Maines lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Hulme lands a left hook.

Maines lands a right uppercut.  Maines holds on to his opponent.  Maines tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hulme behind the head. The referee warns Maines and breaks the clinch.  
Maines is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Hulme's body.  
Hulme sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Maines lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Maines lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND SENDS HULME SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Maines!
