John Cotts vs Davie Brent

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/12/2034 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Cotts (25 - 17) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Davie Brent(4 - 4) from New Orleans, USA.  

Round 1: 

Brent advances into close range.  Brent quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Brent throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Brent tries to step out of his opponents range.  Brent feints a jab, but Cotts ignores the feint and responds with a solid left hook.  
Brent forces Cotts to retreat onto the ropes.  Brent connects with a cross.  
Cotts steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.  
Brent throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut to Brent's body.  
Brent connects with a left uppercut.  Brent tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Brent is looking to close the distance.  Brent quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cotts throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Cotts switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Cotts lands a solid overhand right.  
Cotts lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Brent hits home with a hard jab.  
Brent closes the distance.  Brent quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Cotts lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Cotts steps to the outside and hits home with a spiteful jab.

Brent gets on the inside.  Brent pivots to the right of his opponent.  Brent lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Cotts clinches his opponent.  Brent leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cotts stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Brent is on target with a cross.  
Cotts lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Cotts lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.
