Antwan Dickins vs Ian Dawes

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/02/2035 from Oklahoma City, USA:

The Oklahoma City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Antwan Dickins (19 - 1) who hails from Des Moines, USA and Ian Dawes(3 - 12) from Oklahoma City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Dickins sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Dawes throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Dawes advances into close range and tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Dickins lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Dawes steps inside.  Dickins drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Dawes throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dickins steps inside.  Dickins pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a solid right uppercut.

Dawes sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into Dickins's body.

Dickins is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Dickins ties up his opponent.  Dawes pushes his forearm into Dickins's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Dawes about fouling.  
Dickins is on target with a sharp left hook.  Dickins holds on to his opponent.  Dickins is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Dickins and breaks the clinch.  
Dawes steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Dawes is looking to close the distance.  Dickins tries to land a left hook, but Dawes slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Dawes throws a left hook, but Dickins holds on to his opponent.  Dawes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Dawes hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Dickins's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dawes connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Dickins gets on the inside.  Dickins pivots to the right of his opponent.  Dickins throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Dickins clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Dickins throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Dickins ties up his opponent.  Dawes throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dawes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Dickins drives a firm left hook into Dawes's liver.

Dickins is on target with a solid left hook to Dawes's ribs.  
Dickins walks Dawes into a corner.  Dickins attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Dawes time to recover.
