Ryo Sakaguchi vs Liang Gu

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/02/2035 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ryo Sakaguchi (18 - 18) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Liang Gu(1 - 25) from Shanghai, China.  

Round 1: 

Sakaguchi advances into close range.  Sakaguchi pivots to the left of his opponent, but Gu connects with a left hook.  
Sakaguchi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sakaguchi attempts to land a right hook, but Gu blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sakaguchi lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Sakaguchi drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Gu advances into close range.  Sakaguchi connects with a sharp right hook.  
Sakaguchi hits home with a right hook.  
Sakaguchi lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Sakaguchi lands a stinging jab.  
Gu steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sakaguchi is on target with a solid right hook to Gu's ribs.  Sakaguchi attempts to land a right hook, but Gu slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sakaguchi closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gu hits home with a cross.

Sakaguchi closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Gu's ribs.  
Sakaguchi lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Sakaguchi lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sakaguchi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sakaguchi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sakaguchi ties up his opponent.  Sakaguchi pushes his forearm into Gu's face.  The referee warns Sakaguchi and breaks the clinch.
