Kenji Shimizu vs Goro Nakai

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/03/2035 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenji Shimizu (40 - 15) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Goro Nakai(10 - 16(3)) from Sendai, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Shimizu is on target with a left hook to Nakai's ribs.  Shimizu tries to land a right uppercut, but Nakai dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Nakai goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Shimizu time to recover.  
Shimizu lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Shimizu gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Shimizu switches the action to the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nakai lands a jab to the body, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.

Shimizu is on target with a left uppercut.  
Shimizu gets on the inside.  Shimizu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Nakai lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Nakai is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Shimizu advances into close range.  Shimizu pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook.

Shimizu steps inside.  Nakai throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Shimizu's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shimizu forces Nakai to back into the corner.  Shimizu drives a right uppercut into Nakai's ribs.  
Shimizu sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Shimizu is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Shimizu holds on to his opponent.  Shimizu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Nakai pushes his forearm into Shimizu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shimizu steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Shimizu is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Shimizu manages to force Nakai onto the ropes.  Shimizu lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Nakai lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.
