Alejandro Serio vs Edmundo Rama

The Belem venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Serio (9 - 3) who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Edmundo Rama(14(2) - 4) from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  

Round 1:

Serio gets on the inside.  Serio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Serio lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Rama clinches his opponent.  Rama is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Serio is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but Rama slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Rama digs in a right hook to Serio's ribcage.  Rama throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rama pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Serio's ribcage.

Rama lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Serio switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Serio hits home with a left hook.  
Serio hits home with a left uppercut.  Serio attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rama sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Rama walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Rama sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rama lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  Rama throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rama lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rama closes the distance.  Serio lands a left uppercut.  Rama clinches his opponent.  Serio uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rama behind the head. 
Serio is looking to keep his distance.  Serio sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Serio lands a jab.  Serio tries to land a jab, but Rama blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Rama steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Rama lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Serio switches the action to the outside.  Rama hits home with a stinging overhand left.  
Serio steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Serio sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Rama drives a left hook into Serio's body.  
Serio lands a firm cross.  
Rama attempts to land a right hook, but Serio slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rama connects with a left hook.  
Rama closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Serio quickly recovers. 
Serio steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Serio's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Rama advances into close range and slams a spiteful left uppercut into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SERIO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Serio almost instantly recovers.
