Thoralf Sommer vs Kerr Rode

Boxing Daily Report from the Denmark National Finals 2035,  taking place on 11/03/2035 from Aalborg, Denmark:

The Aalborg venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Thoralf Sommer (12 - 6) who hails from Copenhagen, Denmark and Kerr Rode(25 - 6) from Copenhagen, Denmark.  

Round 1: 

Sommer hits home with a solid cross.

Rode lands a cross to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Sommer steps to the outside.  Sommer sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sommer attempts to land a jab, but Rode sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rode quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Sommer lands a straight 1 - 2.  Sommer tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Rode lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Sommer almost instantly gets his legs back.

Sommer attempts to land a left hook, but Rode sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rode forces Sommer to back into the corner.  Sommer is on target with a left hook.  Rode ties up his opponent.  Sommer tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Rode's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sommer.  
Rode hits home with a right hook.  
Rode lands a sharp right hook.  
Sommer is on target with a left hook.  
Sommer connects with a solid left hook.  
Sommer steps away from his opponent and hits home with a stinging overhand right.

Sommer throws a left hook, but Rode holds on to his opponent.  Sommer leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sommer is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Rode's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
