John Cotts vs Greg Neily

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/04/2035 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Cotts (29 - 17) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Greg Neily(13 - 8) from San Antonio, USA.  

Round 1: 

Cotts sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Neily gets on the inside.  Neily connects with a right hook.  
Cotts finds the target with a solid jab.  
Neily manouvers Cotts into the blue corner.  Neily tries to land a cross, but Cotts blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Neily is on target with a jab.  
Cotts finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Cotts attempts to land a jab, but Neily sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Cotts tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a jab to the head.  
Cotts pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Cotts lands with a solid jab.  
Neily forces Cotts to back into the corner.  Cotts throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Neily gets on the inside.  Neily pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Cotts steps away from his opponent.  Cotts feints a jab and triggers a cross counter from Neily.  Cotts springs the trap and counters with  a right hook.  
Cotts throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cotts connects with a firm overhand right.  
Neily steps inside.  Cotts lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cotts's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Cotts steps away from his opponent.  Cotts quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Neily is looking to close the distance and manages to force Cotts onto the ropes.  Cotts is on target with a right uppercut.  
Cotts lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Neily hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Cotts lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Neily walks Cotts down, trapping him on the ropes.  Neily connects with a cross.  
Neily gets on the inside.  Neily sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Cotts is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Neily pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.

Neily steps inside.  Neily sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
