Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2035,  taking place on 11/04/2035 from North Shore, New Zealand:

The North Shore venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenzie Hobbie (2 - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Leighton Weatherly(28(1) - 13) from Christchurch, New Zealand.

Weatherly is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Weatherly ties up his opponent.  Weatherly pushes his forearm into Hobbie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Weatherly to stop fouling.

Weatherly throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Weatherly ties up his opponent.  Weatherly is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hobbie steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Weatherly is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Hobbie's ribcage.  
Hobbie is looking to keep his distance and lands a ramrod jab.  Hobbie attempts to land a jab, but Weatherly sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Weatherly throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Weatherly holds on to his opponent.  Weatherly throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. As they grapple, Weatherly pushes his forearm into Hobbie's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Weatherly steps inside.  Weatherly pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a forceful right uppercut to Hobbie's body.  DOWN GOES HOBBIE!  He manages to get up at 8.
