Boxing Daily Report from the Philippines National Finals 2035,  taking place on 14/04/2035 from Koronadal, Philippines:

The Koronadal venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Loredo Magpale (8 - 1) who hails from Imus, Philippines and Gus Ronquillo(33(5) - 6(1)) from Lapu-Lapu, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Magpale attempts to land an overhand right, but Ronquillo slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ronquillo closes the distance.  Ronquillo pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Magpale's body.  
Ronquillo pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a sharp right hook.

Magpale tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Ronquillo slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Magpale tries to keep the action at long range.  Magpale quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Ronquillo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ronquillo closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND DROPS MAGPALE!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Ronquillo clinches his opponent.  Magpale leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Magpale pushes his forearm into Ronquillo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Magpale steps to the outside.  Ronquillo lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Ronquillo lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Magpale almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Magpale tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Ronquillo closes the distance.  Ronquillo pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ronquillo pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Ronquillo lands a right hook.  Ronquillo clinches his opponent.  Ronquillo hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Ronquillo walks Magpale into a corner.  Ronquillo lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Magpale throws a left hook, but Ronquillo holds on to his opponent.  Ronquillo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ronquillo.  
Magpale lands a stinging left hook.  
Ronquillo is on target with a CRUSHING right uppercut.  MAGPALE IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ronquillo's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
