Isamu Mase vs Blake Bowell

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/04/2035 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Isamu Mase (26 - 15(1)) who hails from Hachioji, Japan and Blake Bowell(1 - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Mase connects with a stinging left hook.  
Bowell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mase lands a spiteful jab.  Mase tries to land a jab, but Bowell blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Bowell pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bowell attempts to land a right uppercut, but Mase slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bowell pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bowell throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Mase lands a solid jab.  
Bowell is looking to close the distance.  Bowell pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook.  Bowell attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Mase's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Mase advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mase hits home with a solid left hook.  
Mase lands a firm right hook.  
Bowell pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Mase lands a right hook.  
Bowell manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Mase lands a cross.  
Bowell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Mase lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Mase pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Mase drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Bowell lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mase lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Mase lands a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mase's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Mase hits home with a left uppercut.  
Bowell advances into close range.  Bowell pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bowell digs in a left hook to Mase's ribs.  Mase clinches his opponent.  Mase pushes his forearm into Bowell's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mase about fouling.  
Bowell walks Mase down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bowell pivots to the right of his opponent, but Mase lands a stinging left hook.  
Mase is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bowell connects with a cross.  
Mase steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Bowell gets on the inside.  Bowell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mase lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Mase clinches his opponent.  Mase leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bowell forces Mase to back into the ropes.  Bowell waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Mase tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Mase steps away from his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
Mase lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.
