Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2035,  taking place on 02/05/2035 from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:

The Bulawayo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are William Vermeulen (22 - 17) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Quashawn Mumbengegwi(13 - 20) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Mumbengegwi lands an overhand left followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Vermeulen steps inside and digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Vermeulen drives a jab into Mumbengegwi's body.  
Mumbengegwi manages to force Vermeulen into the corner.  Mumbengegwi strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Vermeulen advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Vermeulen hits home with a firm cross.  
Vermeulen lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Mumbengegwi tries to keep the action at long range.  Vermeulen lands a ramrod jab.  
Mumbengegwi is on target with a cross.  
Vermeulen pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mumbengegwi tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mumbengegwi drives a solid jab into his opponents face.

Vermeulen lands a cross.  
Vermeulen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Mumbengegwi's ribs.  Vermeulen attempts to land a right hook, but Mumbengegwi blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Vermeulen's body.  
Vermeulen gets on the inside.  Mumbengegwi lands a right hook.  
Mumbengegwi hits home with a firm cross.  
Vermeulen steps inside and is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Vermeulen lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Vermeulen gets on the inside.  Vermeulen pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.

Mumbengegwi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Vermeulen connects with a left hook.  
Mumbengegwi finds the target with a jab.  
Mumbengegwi pivots to the side of his opponent, but Vermeulen drives a jab into Mumbengegwi's body.  
Vermeulen steps to the outside and hits the target with a solid jab.
