Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/05/2035 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Greg Jervey (30 - 10) who hails from Orlando, USA and Rob McCormick(1 - 6) from West Valley City, USA.  

Round 1: 

Jervey steps to the outside and lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Jervey lands a hard jab.  
Jervey tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCormick sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Jervey lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
McCormick tries to land an overhand right, but Jervey sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Jervey lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Jervey lands an overhand right, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
McCormick steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

McCormick gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Jervey clinches his opponent.  Jervey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jervey about fouling.  
McCormick feints a left, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McCormick closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jervey's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Jervey lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

McCormick forces Jervey to retreat onto the ropes.  Jervey lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
McCormick switches the action to the outside.  Jervey lands with a hard jab.  
McCormick gets on the inside.  McCormick pivots from in front of his opponent.  McCormick throws a right hook, but Jervey holds on to his opponent.  Jervey uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McCormick behind the head. Jervey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Jervey is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McCormick lands a jab to Jervey's body.  
Jervey is on target with a firm left hook.  
Jervey steps to the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
McCormick advances into close range and throws a left hook, but Jervey clinches his opponent.  McCormick is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McCormick.  
Jervey lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Jervey senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Jervey lands a big cross.  MCCORMICK IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like McCormick has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Jervey lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Jervey connects with a solid overhand left.  
Jervey feints a left, and then lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Jervey is on target with a cross.  
McCormick gets on the inside.  Jervey throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Jervey ties up his opponent.  McCormick leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
