Mark Whetten vs Bryan Evans

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/06/2035 from Honolulu, USA:

The Honolulu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Whetten (21 - 14) who hails from Honolulu, USA and Bryan Evans(0 - 4) from Henderson, USA.  

Round 1: 

Evans lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Whetten steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Whetten clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Whetten pushes his forearm into Evans's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Whetten cuts off the ring, trapping Evans in a corner.  Whetten lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Whetten steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Evans is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Whetten steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Evans throws a left hook, but Whetten ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whetten advances into close range.  Whetten sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Whetten is on target with a left hook.  Whetten ties up his opponent.  Whetten is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Whetten.  
Evans lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Whetten connects with a sharp right hook.  
Whetten is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Whetten clinches his opponent.  Whetten leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Evans pushes his forearm into Whetten's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Evans to stop fouling.  Whetten goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Evans time to recover.  
Whetten advances into close range.  Whetten sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Whetten advances into close range.  Evans throws a left hook, but Whetten holds on to his opponent.  Whetten leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Whetten's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Evans steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Whetten lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Whetten hits home with a right hook.  Whetten clinches his opponent.  Whetten throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Whetten about fouling.
