Mandeep Chohan vs Amit Shastri

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/07/2035 from Bangalore, India:

The Bangalore venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mandeep Chohan (1 - 0) who hails from Kanpur, India and Amit Shastri(9 - 13) from Bangalore, India.  

Round 1: 

Chohan closes the distance.  Shastri digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Shastri sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Chohan is on target with a left uppercut to Shastri's body.  
Shastri steps away from his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Shastri lands a sharp jab.  
Shastri advances into close range.  Chohan connects with a left hook.

Chohan advances into close range and hits home with a left uppercut.  Shastri clinches his opponent.  Chohan uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Shastri's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shastri hits the target with a solid jab.  
Shastri feints a left, and then attempts to land a cross, but Chohan dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Chohan advances into close range.  Chohan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Shastri's liver.  
Shastri lands with a sharp jab.  
Shastri feints a left, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Shastri hits home with a cross.  
Shastri sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Shastri lands a jab.  Shastri throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Chohan is looking to close the distance and lands a stinging right hook.  Shastri ties up his opponent.  Chohan pushes his forearm into Shastri's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Chohan.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Chohan's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Chohan gets on the inside.  Shastri digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Shastri steps to the outside.  Chohan is on target with a jab.  
Chohan closes the distance.  Chohan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chohan throws a left hook, but Shastri clinches his opponent.  Chohan throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chohan gets on the inside and manouvers Shastri onto the ropes.  Chohan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chohan throws a right hook, but Shastri holds on to his opponent.  Chohan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Shastri steps away from his opponent.  Shastri feints a jab, and then lands a cross to the body, a jab to the head and a cross to the head.  
Shastri hits home with a cross.  
Shastri lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Chohan gets on the inside.  Shastri digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
Shastri finds the target with a jab.  
Chohan pivots to the left of his opponent, but Shastri lands a left hook.  
Chohan gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Shastri holds on to his opponent.  Chohan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
