Diego Escovedo vs Quiqui Gularte

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/07/2035 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Escovedo (9 - 11) who hails from Sao Goncalo, Brazil and Quiqui Gularte(0 - 1) from Porto Alegre, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Escovedo lands a solid right hook.  
Gularte is looking to keep his distance.  Gularte sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Escovedo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Escovedo steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Gularte lands a right hook.  
Gularte feints a right hook, and then lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Escovedo gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.

Escovedo advances into close range.  Escovedo throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Gularte time to recover.  
Escovedo is looking to close the distance.  Escovedo pivots from in front of his opponent, but Gularte connects with a solid right hook.
