Boxing Daily Report from the Americas Boxing Championships 2036,  taking place on 09/01/2036 from Guayaquil, Ecuador:

The Guayaquil venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Round of 16 fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bassett Houlette (20 - 11) who hails from Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Nasario Montesino(34 - 19(1)) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.

Montesino lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Houlette connects with a cross.  Houlette tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a telling right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE HOULETTE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Houlette recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Houlette advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Montesino's body.  Montesino clinches his opponent.  Houlette is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Houlette and breaks the clinch.

Houlette advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.

Houlette connects with a cross.  Houlette throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a nasty right uppercut.  HOULETTE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Montesino senses Houlette is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Montesino lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head, DROPPING HOULETTE TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Montesino!
