Claudy Kayoen vs Gerd Morseel

Boxing Daily Report from the Belgium National Finals 2020,  taking place on 11/03/2020 from Schaerbeek, Belgium:

The Schaerbeek venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Claudy Kayoen (8 - 1) who hails from Antwerp, Belgium and Gerd Morseel(6 - 5) from Ghent, Belgium.  

Round 1: 

Morseel attempts to land a left hook, but Kayoen sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kayoen gets on the inside.  Morseel throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kayoen sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Morseel connects with a right uppercut.  
Morseel is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Kayoen blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Kayoen retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Morseel is whaling away with hooks, but Kayoen keeps his defence tight.  
Kayoen lands a cross.  
Kayoen advances into close range and drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Kayoen lands a stiff jab.  
Kayoen is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morseel tries to land a right hook, but Kayoen slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kayoen is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Morseel hits home with a solid left hook.

Morseel tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Morseel throws a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Morseel's ribcage.
