Aimon Aceves vs Alejandro Balcazar

Boxing Daily Report from the Chile National Finals 2020,  taking place on 14/03/2020 from Puente Alto, Chile:

The Puente Alto venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aimon Aceves (8 - 5) who hails from Santiago, Chile and Alejandro Balcazar(8 - 6) from Maipu, Chile.  

Round 1: 

Aceves steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Balcazar dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Aceves is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Aceves hits home with a stinging jab.  Aceves tries to land a cross, but Balcazar blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Aceves steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Balcazar gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Aceves pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Aceves is on target with a cross.  
Balcazar gets on the inside and connects with a solid left hook.

Aceves lands with a solid jab.  
Balcazar gets on the inside.  Balcazar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.

Balcazar throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Aceves connects with a cross.  
Balcazar steps inside and manouvers Aceves into the red corner.  Aceves lands a left hook.

Aceves quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Balcazar hits home with a cross.  
Balcazar forces Aceves to retreat onto the ropes.  Balcazar lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
