Paco Armendariz vs Xalvador Rodriguez

Boxing Daily Report from the Guatemala National Finals 2020,  taking place on 26/03/2020 from Mixco, Guatemala:

The Mixco venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paco Armendariz (12 - 2) who hails from Guatemala City, Guatemala and Xalvador Rodriguez(12 - 3) from Guatemala City, Guatemala.  

Round 1: 

Armendariz is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Rodriguez steps away from his opponent.  Armendariz lands a jab.  
Rodriguez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Armendariz pivots to the right of his opponent.  Armendariz tries to land a right hook, but Rodriguez blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Armendariz's ribs.

Armendariz steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Rodriguez steps inside and drives a right hook into Armendariz's body.  
Armendariz sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Armendariz lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Rodriguez throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Rodriguez's body.
