Rehan Sami vs Govind Midaliar

Boxing Daily Report from the India National Finals 2020,  taking place on 26/03/2020 from New Delhi, India:

The New Delhi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rehan Sami (9 - 1) who hails from Jaipur, India and Govind Midaliar(11(1) - 1) from Kolkata, India.  

Round 1: 

Midaliar feints a cross, but Sami is not fooled and responds with a cross.  
Sami is looking to keep his distance and snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Midaliar steps inside and forces Sami to back into a corner.  Midaliar is on target with a left hook to Sami's body.  
Sami is on target with a solid cross.  
Midaliar finds the target with a jab.  
Midaliar attempts to land a jab, but Sami sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Midaliar feints a cross, but Sami does not fall for it and responds with a right uppercut.

Sami is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Midaliar gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Sami's body.  
Sami lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Sami tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  
Midaliar steps inside.  Sami connects with a stinging right hook.  Sami throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Midaliar's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Midaliar advances into close range.  Sami digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sami pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sami tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
