Euan Fordice vs Michael Badham

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2020,  taking place on 26/03/2020 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Euan Fordice (7 - 3) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and Michael Badham(8 - 5) from Portmore, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Fordice lands a jab.  
Badham lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Fordice steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Badham steps inside.  Badham pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Badham is on target with a cross.  
Badham closes the distance.  Badham pivots to the side of his opponent.  Badham connects with a left hook.  Badham tries to land a right hook, but Fordice sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Fordice steps to the outside.  Fordice sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Badham hits home with a cross.  
Badham cuts off the ring, trapping Fordice in the red corner.  Fordice lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Badham closes the distance.  Badham voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Fordice steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Fordice switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Fordice lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Fordice throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Badham digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Fordice tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Fordice's body.  
Badham throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
