Dillon Gbedema vs Richard Badu

Boxing Daily Report from the Ghana National Finals 2020,  taking place on 29/03/2020 from Takoradi, Ghana:

The Takoradi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dillon Gbedema (9 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Richard Badu(13 - 1) from Accra, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Gbedema attempts to land a cross, but Badu slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Badu gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Gbedema tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gbedema sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Badu finds the target with a stinging jab.

Badu is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Badu retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Gbedema is whaling away with hooks, but Badu keeps his defence tight.  Gbedema digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Gbedema pivots to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Gbedema tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.

Badu tries to keep the action at long range.  Gbedema is on target with a cross.  Gbedema throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gbedema lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.
