Cole Bain vs Corey Bertram

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2020,  taking place on 29/03/2020 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cole Bain (9 - 2) who hails from Spanish Town, Jamaica and Corey Bertram(13 - 3) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Bertram throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Bain to the neutral corner.  He warns Bertram that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.  
Bertram retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Bain is whaling away with hooks, but Bertram keeps his defence tight.  Bain lands a cross.  
Bertram tries to keep the action at long range and lands a stinging jab.  
Bain sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Bertram hits home with a cross.  
Bain pivots from in front of his opponent, but Bertram is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bain pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bain throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Bain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands with a solid jab.  
Bain steps away from his opponent.  Bertram is on target with a jab.  
Bain advances into close range.  Bain sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a solid right hook.  
Bain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

Bain feints a cross, but Bertram ignores the feint and lands with a right uppercut.  
Bain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Bertram lands with a stiff jab.  
Bertram tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Bain gets on the inside and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Bertram blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
