Declan Shearer vs Vince Shortt

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2020,  taking place on 29/03/2020 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Declan Shearer (15 - 0) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and Vince Shortt(9 - 4) from Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Shortt throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Shearer's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shortt lands a solid jab.  
Shearer lands a jab.  
Shortt forces Shearer to retreat onto the ropes.  Shortt connects with a cross.

Shearer is looking to keep the action on the outside and drives a firm jab into Shortt's body.  Shearer tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shortt digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Shortt finds the target with a jab.  
Shortt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Shortt drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Shearer closes the distance.  Shortt drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.
