Boxing Daily Report from the Jordan National Finals 2020,  taking place on 29/03/2020 from Irbid, Jordan:

The Irbid venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Shayan Ahmadi (8 - 5) who hails from Amman, Jordan and Waleed Bolous(13 - 2) from Amman, Jordan.  

Round 1: 

Bolous voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ahmadi steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Ahmadi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bolous tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bolous closes the distance and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Ahmadi sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Bolous connects with a firm cross.  
Ahmadi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Bolous lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Ahmadi is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Bolous drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Ahmadi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ahmadi tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to Ahmadi's ribs.  
Ahmadi is looking to keep his distance.  Bolous lands a stinging overhand left.  
Bolous advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Ahmadi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ahmadi tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Bolous gets on the inside.  Ahmadi pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ahmadi lands a right hook.  Ahmadi attempts to land a right uppercut, but Bolous slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Bolous is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Bolous steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bolous's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
